If you want to prepare for dental emergencies on your vacation, then our dentist, Dr. Kevin Park, is more than happy to help you. If you’re prepared for emergencies, you’ll know exactly what to do if they occur and you might not feel as nervous or stressed. So, to help you prepare for a dental emergency, our dentist encourages you to do the following things:
-Pack a handkerchief or gauze: If you have injured your oral tissues, the handkerchief or gauze can help you control the bleeding. Just place the object on the tissues and apply pressure. Make sure to replace the cloth after it has filled with blood.
-Pack a small container with a lid: This container can help you keep a knocked-out tooth alive. All you need to do is fill the container with milk or saltwater and then place the tooth inside. This can keep the tissues of the tooth in the best condition possible. You can also place pieces of a broken tooth in the container to keep them safe, but you won’t need the liquids.
-Pack your dentist’s number: You need to call your dentist right when you experience the emergency. Our dental team will tell you exactly what to do to handle the situation. We can even help you find a dentist nearby to help you.
